As you may have noticed, I'm now spreading the EchoDisk as an AmigaGuide file. If you do not already have AmigaGuide.Library in your LIBS: directory, it is freely downloadable from several points around the galaxy. Installation: Hard drive: Create a directory, any name you want, and ASSIGN the logical assignment AmigaDisk4: to that directory. For those of you new to this sort of thing, open a shell by double-clicking on the SHELL icon, and type in: ASSIGN AmigaDisk4: path_to_your_directory Floppy: Easy. Name the disk AmigaDisk4 and then just click on the icon. Requirements: As far as I know, all you need is a drive to run it from, and AmigaGuide somewhere in your command path. ***** WARNING ***** The sound sample will probably crash the 040, as the sound player is compressed with powerpacker 2.30. While this makes for small executables, it makes it hard to use on some 040s. SAVE ALL WORK before trying it, or use your own sound player.
